Will my Turkish degree be accepted in Pakistan?

What HEC actually decides

The Higher Education Commission equates completed foreign degrees on the documents submitted for that purpose — its own published process, at hec.gov.pk, governs. It does not pre-approve a degree you have not yet earned, and no consultant's letter, email or certificate can bind its decision. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you something.

What you can control is what the decision depends on: a university properly recognised inside Turkey's own higher-education system — verifiable on the official source, YÖK (yok.gov.tr) — and a programme type that fits what you plan to do in Pakistan. Not just the university: the type of programme carries meaning too.

How do I check before paying anyone?

1. Verify the university on YÖK's official university search — the exact name from your offer letter, the whole entry, not just the name.
2. Ask in writing. Your target Pakistani university, employer or commission — its own published rules, and a written reply if the rules are ambiguous. We never state an institution's eligibility rules for it.
3. Keep every reply. The written replies are the file that protects you — not a brochure, not a verbal assurance, not this page.
